Shift sooner. I'm shifting around 4800-5000. Actually i shift sooner than
that, but there is a little lag in the auto before it shifts. Near
redline you're pretty far outta your powerband.

80mph sounds about right where you should be. I've been twice. The first
time I went was16.84@81.17 and the second time I went i ran a
16.73@77.20. There is a pretty big discrepancy between these two trap
speeds, but I don't know enough about drag racing to know exactly what I
did differently.
