Ok Kyle....enough...you're killing me. :) Since you can't make your mind up
for yourself, I'll do it for you. Here's basically what you want:
Late 90's (96-99) Dodge Ram 2500
4x4
5-speed (trust me on this one)
5.9l
Regular Cab
Long bed
Now I know you wanted some extra room in the cab....but I don't think you
want it. (Keep in mind, I'm still making decisions for you. :)) You want
the long bed. Get a topper for the truck. Not a fancy one....one that is
fairly inexpensive and functional. One that can easily be put on and off
with two people. Then you'll have an option to keep your stuff dry on those
hunting and fishing trips.
Don't worry about the axles or gear ratio. If you find a truck with the
above specs, more than likely you'll be happy with what it has in it
already.
Finally, stop doing so much research!! :) I agree 100% that learning from
others is the best and that an educated decision is the way to go, but you
can do too much. We both know that you can narrow things down to the
perfect truck according to data (engine, body, drivetrain) and that very
truck fly apart on you the next day.
My advice is to make up your mind and start looking for that truck. Don't
settle for anything less, although it may take a while to find one.
Just some thoughts.

btw: we'll still let you stay on the DML even if you get a Ram if that's
what you're worried about. :)
