If you are planning to do some towing, I would invest in a transmission
cooler. I did.
Sorry that I cannot help you out on a transmission temp gauge. I've thought
about installing one on my truck but never have.
The repair guy stating that he has never heard of a transmission temp gauge
just goes to show you that they don't know everything about cars. (No
offense to any mechanics out there.)
