Could happen. Actually if voltage is too low PCM won't let fuel pump run.
That's to save your fuel pump.

Truck cranks, attempts to fire, but will not start. Towed to dealer that has
screwed with just about every system on the damn thing in the past month and
since their last feeble attempts it's just run worse and worse.

They call to tell me it's the *BATTERY*!! Get this... Their story is that
the battery has enough juice to crank the engine, but not enough juice
getting thru to the onboard computers to tell it to send fuel. Does anyone
actually believe this?
