Engine running but not great

Well I put the old fuel injectors back in place of the 24# FMS injectors and
the engine is running a little better. I have very little power off the line
but the engine will scream to about 5800 RPM with power. It doesn't have the
power it should though. I still dont know what the problem is but I think I'm
going to take it to a dealership and see if they have someone that may be
able to diagnose the problem. The cam operating range is 2000-6000 RPM so I'm
not surprised at the lack of low end power but it should have alot more at
the top end.
I have triple checked all the vacuum lines but haven't checked the timing
because I thought the computer adjusts that automatically.
It isn't backfiring except a little when I let off the gas at high RPM's.

Any suggestions on what else to check?
