I found the same type of gashing on my front passenger tire after my first offroading venture.

I was thinking mine was due to off-roading, but my cousin has a 2wd and I
don't even know if it had even seen a gravel road, he has the same gashes on
two of his tires. Then Darren replied to email and said he had the same
gashes on two of his tires. Is this coincidence..??

I had that same exact gash on one of my Wragler RT/Ss, I just had to put new
tires on my Dak after 53,000 miles my RT/Ss wore nicely and I just switched
to Goodyear Wragler AT/Ss and I absoultely love'em
