Well, turns out the clutch feiasco isn't quite so bad after all. Seems
Centerforce did have the wherewithall to cease shipping separate pressure
plates when they ceased shipping separate clutch disc. I received my
complete Centerforce-II last night, and nothing else that needs returned.

Now all that's needed is for the new NV3500 to show up.
