The 380hp/360 is the wrong engine to put in for a few reasons.
1. It is cammed with a very peaky race cam, would not work with a computer.
2. 380 hp is actually low for the potential of a 360.
3. Not enough engine for your money.
The best way to do it is to buy a 300hp/360 shortblock, Install a Hughes
HER1828 cam, R/T heads, 5.9 Magnum PCM, 50mm TB, 1.6 roller rockers, and a
Mopar M1/2bbl intake. This combo should be worth over 400hp and have MUCH
more torque than a crate engine. Sam South is running this very combo and he
is getting 13.5's at 105mph! In the end, it will end up a few hundred
cheaper.
