So Mark, say on your '94 or '95 you went to an LA small block and a carb
setup with aftermarket/Mopar performance ignition components, how would you
make the tach functional?? What about the fuel pump- if you wanted to use
the stock in-tank pump setup, could you regulate the pressure down to the
7-12 psi you would need for a carb setup? Would it still prime the system if
the computer was removed(you know, like when you turn the key on but don't
crank it, the pump will run a few seconds and quit)?? What other functions
might you lose if you dump the PCM and factory ignition?? Got any idea??

yes, the gauges operate independently before 1996, if you keep the harness
in place. If you pull the harness, you need to run new wires.
