Well after a few days of installing the 9000 rear shocks and the
adjuster kit, I finally got it done today! The Dak has a better ride the
when it was new. Don't says much about the OEM shocks.

Saturday.... The adjuster kit was much more time consuming the
anticipated. Seeing I can only put in about 3 hours or so a day, by the time
I pull all the tools out and get started and clean up time that leaves just
over two hours of solid work time. The air compressor for the control system
is now mounted in the fender just behind the battery and main fuse box. This
took a little planning and a gradual dismounting of the battery tray and
main fuse box to get the drill in to drill the mounting holes for the
compressor and to get my hands in there to mount the thing. Running two air
lines and power feed in to the cab was all I had time left for this day.
Thank goodness for a my garage, it rain pretty much all day.

Sunday rained also. I got the power switch, control switch and gauge
mounted in the cab. The light bulb for the gauge keep shorting out fuses on
me till I finally figured out it was the wires shorting out on the light
bulb socket. These are mounted in the OEM panel witch isn't going to last
long. I'm looking at my options. I want to mount the switches in the dash
and the gauge flush in the dash or in a pillar pod. Oh yea where is a good
place to get a pillar pod for 2 gauges?

The sun was out Monday & 69 degs :) I got to put in the rear shocks and
run the control hoses from the compressor to the rear shocks. After hooking
every thing up and fixing a minor air leak, the system runs great. Took the
long way to work tonight for a test ride (28 miles instead of 4 miles). My
Dak now handles the curves and lane changes like never before. I'll say
this, The range of adjustment with the Rancho 9000 shocks ranges from soft
all they to extra stiff. Riding on the extra stiff on the hiway you feel
every little crack and bump. (note to self, Soften the ride before going
over speed bumps) The Dak made noises I never even heard before. I think
I'll definitely be happy with these.

P.S. I read some where the "End of the Prowler" is near. Is this true?
Running for cover! Boy that's a long thread.
