I use permatex super 300 on every engine gasket except head and exhaust.
This stuff comes in a little bottle with a brush. It goes on liquid, sets up
like glue, and never hardens. I even use a little around hoses, never had
even a drop of anti-freeze come out anywhere. Real good stuff, it's designed
for use on high pressure hydraulic fittings, which anyone who has ever
worked on them knows that they almost always seep. I used this stuff during
a referb of a D-6, and a year and a half later, it's still dry.
