Hey Jeff,

Forget about the V-10 and Viper mechanicals. I looked
at doing this to my '94 CC about a year ago and found
out some very interesting things.
First, The engine bay will have to be extensively
modified. Think about it; radiator, oil cooler, trans
cooler, large enough fan, all of the accessory
add-ons, breather, electronics, removal of the fender
wells, rear fire wall relocation, heavier springs,
possible re-modifing of the steering, not to mention
the engine itself.
Second, tranny, driveline, and rearend modification.
Shortening of the driveshaft and axle. All of the
housings and driveline tunnels. You will more than
likely have to do some cutting of the bed floor.
Third, Exhaust plumbing.
Fouth, You'd be better off building or having built a
one off tubular frame. Or one that is more than
likely used for drag racing. And then having your
R/T's body fused to it. But that brings up problems
with licensing. Whatever you do; do the research
first. You might find that the turbo or twin turbo
set-up is more cost efficient. Unless you have alot
of $$$$$$$$$ to throw into it by the way. Forget
about promising the other half that you will "never"
buy another toy; because you will find a toy that you
must have sooner than you think (she already knows you
will) and your relationship may be worth more than you
think.
