Chuck,

You don't have to remove the transmission from the truck at all. Just
remove the driveshaft, trans mount from the tranny, and slide it
backwards on the crossmember. You can change the clutch, T/O bearing,
pilot bushing, and R&R the flywheel with the transmission sitting on the
crossmember.
