Also, make sure you tell the shop what rings you plan on using, because
chrome moly rings require a finer finish than standard iron rings, which
means he will use a different stone on the final pass depending on your ring
selection. Personally, unless you plan on boosting it, NOS'ing it, or reving
the snot out of it, I'd stick with the stock replacement rings. Moly rings
don't "give" you anything, they only take more abuse. And like Bernd said,
you have to break them in properly, where as iron rings are about broken in
by time the engine hits operating temp for the first time.
