Re: Valve Cover Bolt Question

Next time you have the valve covers off, turn them upside down and check the
gasket sealing surface next to the bolt holes. Mine did the same thing.
Apparently, lots have score marks where they had the covers in jigs waiting to
have the bolt holes punched. Looks like they brought the punch down to the
covers only to realize the measurement was off. These score marks were causing
mine to leak even through the new style rubber-lined steel shim gaskets. Just
put a dab of Mopar black (or equiv.) silicone on those score marks and it'll all
be good to go.
