You don't want to go with a thinner wire. More resistance which will
compound the problem. Need to find out if the motor is good or not. If the
unit is wired correctly it should not blow any fuses if the fan is in good
shape. If this unit has been on the truck for more than a year double check
your wiring connections, make sure something is not grounding out.
