I've heard of my fair share of transfer case bind and break stories. I'm
also talking about situations where you need 4wd, but may not have much
slippage. Rock crawling, etc.

Sorry John. Typo. Here's another example. You can run 305/70-16 tires and
then use a 285/75-16 spare because they are the same height even though they
are different widths. Or you can use a 32 -11.5-16 spare with 32-10.5-16
tires. etc.
