Vic,my 2001 Dak is similar to yours (except RC). Have
had it for about six months,and it has the 16x8
wheels. Mine also feels very loose on bumps
(especially rippled pavement),and rattles/thumps like
the suspension is loose. Some bumps make the front-end
lose composure so much,it could cause an accident if
someone was close enough beside me. Took it in to the
dealer,they drove it,said they noticed the problem,and
replaced the rack and pinion. Well,it didn`t change
anything,except for making it feel like the toe-in has
been set "in" a little more. I had a 99 4X4 V6 RC
before I got this Dak,and it had a ball joint go bad
real early on,like 6,000 miles,and it was replaced not
long after,and the truck felt very solid after that.
No clunks or rattles,no looseness,etc. Too bad it
didn`t run worth a crap!! Now I have a new Dak,runs
great,but there`s something up with the suspension!
Cheese whiz!! I might have to take it to someone who
knows when a ball joint is bad,and then send DC the
