Update / Good Deal!

So here's a quick update on my Dakota project (probably no one cares, but I
feel like telling someone).

My K&N cone finally came in friday and construction of my custom intake
began. So far, I've fabbed up 1/2 of the heat shield out of sheet metal and
I've removed the rubber flap from the passenger side of the radiator. I
extended my heat shield to direct air from that opening right onto the
filter (I put a screen overtop of the opening though to avert any
unsuspecting bugs from being sucked into the K&N). I also cut a hole in my
engine bay directly below where the filter will sit (and let me tell you GOD
BLESS Dremel Tools! ... especially the flexible wands!). All that's left to
do now is fab up the rear half of the heat shield, mount the small air line
to the new intake and then port out the throttle body.

This weekend, I also bought some spark plugs and here's where the good deal
comes in. I grabbed 4 packs of two and brought them to the till, and the
dumb ass only rang one pack through! woohoo, I got a set of plugs for $3.29
CDN! heh heh...

Up next on my list is the exhaust (I have my flowmaster on order),
thermostat, and HO cams (Also on order). Then I'm going to throw her on the
Dyno again and see what a difference it made.
