I' ve been only using FEL-PRO gaskets on my car's and trucks since I've been
hot rodding, I prefer the perm-torque line of gaskets over any other, I've
never had a failure with these.
Bernd from SPEEDTWEAKS set up the performance package on this truck, he
supplied a FLOWCOOLER waterpump,SUPERCHIPS icon timing controller,JBA
headers, CARSOUND cat, and a bottle of RAD RELIEF coolant additive, ACCELL
ignition,50mm F&B
billet TB,JBA plug wires,BORG-WARNER cap, IAT adjuster, and a polished
POWERDYNE supercharger.
The installation was handled by KARNUT'S auto center
in UNIONTOWN, PA.
We have also added a set of COMP CAM's roller rocker arms and pushrods(0.080
wall thickness) stockers
are about 0.050 wall thickness.
'00,'01,'02 DAK's use a upperhose with the rad cap located in it due to a
cooling system redesign for the '00
model year, it's very heavy duty, and more than likely very expensive to
replace, GOODYEAR,GATES, etc do not even list the hose in their catalog yet
for a replacement.
as far as the cooling system goes I need another bottle of
RAD RELIEF from Bernd but there is no time to get before saturday, so I'll
order it later next week if all goes well. The stock radiator and hoses seem
to be fine and it
maintains a temp on the low side of the gauge so for now
I think it's good to go.
