I'm an old Flowmaster person...I love the sound, but the resonance is
annoying at times from the flowmasters. 70-Series SUV are near perfect
for tone, performance, and keeping interior resonance at a minimum.
50-Series is next in line...but the single is primarily to keep track
noise restrictions in check...not really quiet for the street and you
may have the local PD watching ya as well (noise wise).

I know your not big on the resonance or the crackiness of the
flowmaster, but what would you recommend, I want something that will
turn heads, whether its for good or bad... (not like resonating rice
tips or anythign) If a 1chamber flowmaster isnt all that expensive and
it would not kill low end torque, I don't have a problem doing that. I
want loud or at least deep and resonant

The magnaflow is essentially a glass-pak muffler. Its straight through
flow, no chambers. They do get louder as the fiberglass shrinks from
the heat. I just put one on my 4.7 (with duals) and it got noticeably
louder after about 1K. It really opened up the low end on the 4.7, but
on 3.9, you may want to stick with FM since the baffles will give more
resistance to the exhaust flow. Nice thing about Magnaflow is that it
carries a lifetime warranty! Paul
