Brad,
I installed a used Dodge Viper Fan in my 99 R/T. I did this after having
trouble controlling temps in hot steamy FL during afternoon stop and go
traffic with the A/C on.
I works damned well. It will pull the temps down to the thermostat low of
180 if I turn it on manually. Went out to Tucson AZ last month in 105-110
temps without a problem. I have it wired to a manual switch along with a
temp sensor. I plan to include a trip from the a/c to turn it on as well.
If you wire it to trigger from the A/C, don't forget a relay or diode to
isolate it, so you don't lock in the a/c clutch when the fan goes on.
I have a wiring diagram for anyone interested. E-mail me direct at acellan1
@ tampabay.rr.com (remove spaces) if you want me to send it to you.
