Tom is thinking the same thing I am. It might be the fuel pump. Even on my
2000 4.7L, if I get in and throw the key to start after its been sitting for
12 plus hours it might take a extra 2 or 3 seconds before it starts. I
believe it takes a second or two for the fuel pressure to come up to full
PSI. Try turning the key to on for a few seconds then try starting it. let
us know if this helps.
