I recently rebuilt my front end and had wanted better brakes also. The only
ones I could find were the Stillen drilled rotors and they are very!
expensive. I just went with AZ rotors (less than $100 a set).
As far as pads go, many DMLers reccomend Raybestos pads and the archived
posts indicated that they'd be readily available. But the three AZs i went
to, listed all raybestos pads as "unavalible" so I went with generic
cheapies.
My front brakes were squealin also before the rebuild, and I'm pretty sure
it was due to a complete lack of grease on the caliper slide pins. FYI
