not sure what your talking about "caliper hold down springs". Must be
something on the older daks. I even looked at a FSM. and they say nothing
about that. not sure about the bearing as well. I have given it some
though but once again. it only happens when the breaks get hot. for
whatever reason the brakes are getting extremely hot under normal and
sometimes even very easy braking. I did the grease thing and not excessive!

I will post some pics tomorrow afternoon. I am going to take it into a
trusted shop and see what they have to say. I am so sick of the brake
problems with this truck I have even contemplated dumping it and buying a
new dak...THAT'S HOW MAD I AM...just wish not to b/c I love my color (even
though it's peeling) and all the hard work!

1. Did you reattach the caliper hold down (anti-rattle) springs?
2. Are your wheel bearings adjusted properly?
3. Did you lube the caliper guide pins and adapter areas where the pads
slide? (THIN film of anti-seize works great)

If your answer to all these questions is yes, could you post some pictures
so others might spot something unusual?
