The weld on mine Astro van (GM Junk) are just as bad. Misfitting of parts,
irregular gapping of body skins and so forth.

Ford is trying to enact the QA through various departments after ridding
Nasser. Ford Jr. is trying to bring back the initial goal of Ford - QA is
number one.

Though, I had to laugh at that statement knowing that DaimlerChrylser effort
is rolling like a snowball down a big hill, only getting bigger and bigger
with QA. I am totally satisfied with the initial QA of the vehicle after
inspecting everything. Yes Jon! DC has done a lot since it take over with
the newer vehicle.

I wouldn't. My son's best friend has been working on the line
at the Ford plant in Oakville, Ont. for a long time. He said
that quality control has really gone to the pits. As an example,
if you're on a Ford lot, open the front door and take at look at
the weld at the bottom of the door where the skin folds over.
Chances are they'll be rusted. If not, look closely at the weld
and you should see that rust formation is in the not-too-far distant
future. He was at a Ford dealer and there were 7 new pickups on
the lot. He told the manager to check them. Sure enough, all
7 were rusted.

He bought a 02 4.7L Ram just before Christmas
