Dana 80 in a 4k lb. Dakota????

Major overkill, IMO. Why would you want to add all the weight, plus put up
with the lug pattern issue?

The 9.25" is probably pretty safe up to 450-500 rwhp or so, based on guys
who are already putting that amount of power through them without issues.
