1.) I don't know, I've heard that there's some sort of resistor "pack" on
the firewall somewhere...you might want to check the archives for that one.
Maybe all you need is a new resistor instead of the whole motor...(replace
the cheap stuff first, it's easier)
2.) sounds like a sending unit to me...we have that same sort of problem in
our 96 ram and that's what it turned out to be...
3.) I think you can soak them in some bleach water to clear them up...
