Good Week!

well, since i'm on spring break, i decided to fix up some things on the
truck and see what it would do. On tuesday, i pulled off the throttle body,
and cleaned it off, and i replaced the stock cap/rotor with the Borg/Warner
select brass unit. overall, a very good combination (except for the initial
arching that i was suffering, but that was fixed). and i was impressed by
the improvement in the ride!

then came wednesday... took the truck up to the track, and decided to give
it it's first runs. first run: 18.260@77.04; second run: 17.848@77.81;
third run: 17.955@77.71;

fourth and fastest run:

R/T: 1.246,
60: 2.704
330: 7.7428
1/8: 11.390
MPH: 61.65
1000: 14.827
1/4: 17.727
MPH: 77.86

now, i'm proud of the time simply because i've never gotten any coaching on
running down the track. i know my reaction time is disgusting, but i think
i was revving my engine too much when i launched (i have a 5-speed). i
think i might go back sometime this summer, but that all depends on school
and work. any suggestions are more than welcome, as i had problems running
(R/T), but NO SLIPPING!!!

I now have my goal! 17.2!
