Well a stock n/a Shelby Charger 5 speed ran about 16.8 out of the box. Now
mine has a slightly cleaned up head slightly higher compression. It also has
twin 2 barrels (on a Mopar Performance store bought manifold.) I also have a
2.5 inch exhaust that exits behind the driver on the left side. On the
Chassis dyno it makes about 114 hp at the wheels. That would be 135 to 140
hp at the fly wheel. Car originally had 96 hp. Also my car weighed in on
SCCA scales with a full tank minus driver at 2365 lbs with all seats in
place. I have a 520 trans. out of a Shelby. I added hardened gears and a
3:87 final drive. Even stock 5-speed cars are at least 1.5 seconds quicker
than auto cars in the 1/4 mile. My Neon runs 15.8 and I haven't done the
exhaust or PCM yet.
