Eh? I'm what some might consider disabled, (cerebral palsy), and I drive a
stick almost every day - with no adaptive equipment. I actually prefer
manual transmissions to automatics.
Being handicapped is a mindset, nothing more. If I caught the gist of your
statement correctly, it seems to me that the problem you see lies not in the
fact that this car happens to have three pedals, but rather produces 400HP.
An automatic wouldn't make it any safer, if that's the right word.
Be very careful referring to "someone with a handicap" - it could offend
someone, or worse, hurt their feelings. It doesn't offend me, personally,
but then I don't care what people think of or about me. I just happen to
walk with crutches, I'm not "handicapped" in my mind.
