Thanks for the explanation Bernd. I'm not personally experienced with
modifying the RE series so until we hear back from someone who says the
custom TV valve didn't fix the problem I'll keep an open mind.

As for my transgo installation, it was one of the first comprehensive kits
(with video) that was available for the 518. A chrysler transmission tech
and I did the install per instructions. Shift quality was excellent,
outside of the too low 1-2 shift point (by 400 rpm) that didn't exist
before. For my purpose, and combination, even a 100-200 rpm difference is
not acceptable. But that's just me. ;-)
