Fog Light question and roll pan light question

hello all,

I have a question about fog lights and them shutting off when the brights
come on.

I installed fog lights and an air dam from a 95 model (the light group
package) on my 92 when I had an accident and had the front end fixed. Now I
live in VA and they have a safety inspection. Well, my fog lights don't
shut off with the high beams since they are wired to the battery and there
is a separate switch that I use to control them. I was wondering if I need
to swap out the headlight switch or the bright/dim turnsignal unit or if I
just wire them into the low beams and the headlight switch unit will know to
shut them off?

To my knowledge fog lights were not a factory option until 95, so I am
thinking that I will need a headlight switch (the thing you pull out to turn
the lights on) and a turn signal/low beam/high beam unit on the steering
column from a 95. Anybody have any opinions?

Also, anybody have an easy solution for installing a license plate light
into a Lund roll pan? The safety inspector said I need one of those also.
I think PepBoys or AutoZone has some units that are easily wired in, cause
the wires are there, since the original bumper had lights.

Thanks for your help.
