However, if you get into British Columbia, Canada, the provincial Liberal
Party takes the term "Liberal" and uses it in the sense of the original
liberals, back in the 18th and 19th centuries. Laissez-faire, individual
effort bringing individual rewards, greater citizen protection from
government, etc.
