I'm not "blaming" it for my being fat. I'm saying that most people don't
understand that their drinks are contributing as much as they are. I'm
just saying that most people are aware that eating a box of Ho-Ho's is
contributing to their weight, but most people don't even think about
sitting at a restaurant and having their "free-refill" Coke refilled 7-8
times during a chat with friends. It's a perception issue. People have
gotten the message that sweet foods and fatty foods are part of their
problem, but I've actually heard people at a vending machine tell
someone that they're trying to "cut down" so they'll have a can of pop
*instead* of a snack. In their mind, the drink is a substitute for the
high calorie snack.
