Magnum camshaft

Ok, I've got the engine apart, I need a camshaft. Let me tell ya'll what I have
now and what I want for the future and maybe you guys can help me. I have the
stock 93 Magnum engine with a few bolt-ons. Mopar computer, 8mm Mallory wires,
Accel coil, K&N filter, JBA headers, Flowmaster exhaust (no cat..shhhhh), 3.92
sure-grip rear-end and a transmission shift-kit. This put me at 14.9 @ 90mph
and weighing in at 3800 no driver (4x2 cc). The engine is in a million pieces
now and I want to build it up right, but I have to do it on a budget. :( I'd
like to get it into the low 14's n/a because I hope to supercharge it after I
graduate college this year. It is my daily driver, but I want to take it to the
strip every now and then, too. I don't mind a a loppy idle just so long as it
will idle at a redlight with the a/c on. Oh...one last thing...I know some
people use 1.7 rockers. Why? I know you get more lift, but if you use a high
lift cam and the 1.7 ratio, aren't you getting too close to the piston? Any
sort of explanation would help. Thanks!
