tires

I think it was either norah or jason who told me I'd be doing this....

I'm looking for something less street friendly and more adobe-worthy,
and I'm wondering how big I can go without having to trim sheet metal.

I've heard that you need 3" of lift to clear 33s - either body or
suspension, but I'm not 'down' with the body lift and I'm not
interested in a $1000 investment right now.... I know adam has been
saying 32's, which would be great, but the good m/ts seem to skip from
31 to 33, and I'd expect a lot of rub from a 32 if a 33 needs an extra
3 inches to clear well.

does anyone here run 32s on a stock height gen III? has anyone tried?

I'd like to stick these mud tires on my current 15" rims, and get r/t
or look-alike 17"s for my all terrain street tires, for which I think
I'll stick with my current Yoki a/ts, though in bigger 265/70-17 form

for what it's worth, I'm looking at:
Yoki Geolander m/t (seems to have very good ejection at the edges,
which is what I was missing this weekend)
Firestone destination m/t
Bridgestone dueler m/t
hesitantly at the crapyear wranger mt/r, since I've seen very good
reviews of it.

I'm thinking the Yoki m/t on 16" steel in 265/75-16, which is a bit
over 31.5 by 10.4. If I can get away with bigger, though, I'd like to.

spending money I don't have,
