   Just out of curiosity, does that figure include a new transmission,
or would that just be parts and labor on a supplied core?

   For that kind of money, a 727 in front of a Gear Vendors overdrive
starts to sound pretty good. :-) Especially if that doesn't include
the cost of the tranny itself. The Gear Vendors is darn expensive
but if the final costs come out to about the same, the "6 speed" that
a freshened up 727 and a Gear Vendors would give you might be worth
looking into. Even stock, the 727s can handle a decent amount of
power, and the Gear Vendors unit is living behind some beastly motors
so I don't think it would be the weak link.
