Hmmmm, WOW, Huh, What can I say..... I just asked about mounting the unit.
As far as witch oil is better, Mobil 1 or AMSOIL? To me both are great oils!
Mobil is a big dog of the corporate world and AMSOIL is a small dog. ME, I'm
one for cheering on the underdogs anyway :-) Mobil 1 has much deeper pockets
so of course they have more resources for the slick adds, the racing deals
with the big race teams and so on. AMSOIL like any small company, needs to
work harder and stay on the straight and narrow.
About the marketing of AMSOIL, Its called "Network Marketing" If you knew
what or how the "pyramid scams" worked and why they are illegal you would
know the difference. By the way, isn't Wall-Mart and any other store in
fact, like a network marketing in a round about way? The person working
putting stuff on the shelves and give their expert advise (opinion) and the
cashiers up to the store manager to the CEO all are in a chain of making a
little bit of money off of each item sold? Just with network marketing, you
control you own life and living your own dreams! As a dealer of AMSOIL
myself, I feel the products are worth the extra buck or so. By the time I
figure in the discount for being a dealer, the tax breaks for owning my own
business..... Yea its worth it! In fact here is my web site....
www.lubedealer.com/mallett. No I'm not spamming anyone here. In fact in
close to year of being a dealer this is the first I mentioned anything
about.
David, Thanks for answering the question about mounting the unit. Do you
have a dual oil filter mount unit or the AMSOIL Dual-remote oil filtration
system? Any way sounds like you have it well protected there also! How did
you run the hoses? Did you notice and drop in pressure?
Some one brought up the point about how hot the oils gets. I did have a oil
cooler on the truck for a 1 1/2 years. Found that by having mounted in front
of the A/C condenser that put a large load on the A/C unit. Really never did
noticed a major decrease in engine temp with it anyway. The heat from the
oil cooler just got passed back to the A/C condenser and radiator anyway. at
some point mounting a oil cooler with its own fan somewhere other then in
front of the radiator would be helpful.
I'm not one for long ranting like this but all I did ask about the mounting
of the unit! Yea, I know free speech and all so feel free to slam be back!
Buy the way, any one else have a dual unit mounted anywhere?
Thanks for all the information folks!
