Thats what i had thought... that ethanol was going to be the next additive.
(I used to live in the east bay area growing up and the central coast for
college) Ethanol is quite a bit more expensive than MTBE and i cant believe
that MTBE creates more oxygen than ethanol, Hell they both only have one
oxygen atom per molecule, so wouldnt a compound with 2 oxygen atoms make
more molecular oxygen upon combustion??? Maybe i should go into petroleum
chemistry rather than analytical chemistry and try to get them all
straightened out.... (c;
