Intermittent power loss

As if we weren't having enough problems with the 2001, the '95 has started
acting up as well :-P.

What's happening is I'll be driving along when I feel the truck lose power
and speed, like driving in to deep sand or a big puddle of water (only
there's nothing on the road). Lasts a couple of seconds, then jumps back
to normal. I've noticed it when traveling at a constant speed as well as
when accelerating.

When it started the other night, I first thought it was just a big head
wind. However, it's still doing it even when there's no wind. Also, I've
noticed that when stopped at a red light, it sometimes doesn't seem to
want to idle. At one point the lights were dimming like it was ready to
stall. I had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running. Other times
it idles fine like nothing is wrong.

I thought maybe the throttle body or IAC was caked with gunk, but it also
happens when accelating. Also, this morning it idled and ran normally at
first until I got a few miles away from home. I did take a quick look and
the bores don't look too bad, although it might benefit from a cleaning.

Any ideas on things to check? Is it possible I just got a bad tank of
gas? This started about 20 miles after I filled up.

I'll reset the computer tonight and see if I get any new codes show up. I
had a check engine light a few weeks ago. The code was pointing to the O2
sensor. However, the light hasn't come back since then.

Thanks for any advice.
