firming of the shifts is the main point of the TransGo kit. the
valving modifications change the way the transmission shifts,
decreasing the overlap where two gears are engaged at once. this has
the benefit of decreased wear due to slippage and improved shift
firmness with the cost of improved shift firmness.

so depending on how large they went with the holes in the valvebody,
that 2=3 shift should be very hard. it ought not be doing any damage
to the transmission, but I really don't know much about how much shock
a driveline can put up with, and if it is a REALLY firm shift I suppose
there could be some concern there. I'll defer to those who know more
than I on that subject.
