OK, it is my personal preference, but I like daytime running lights. Why?
Because many people don't know when to turn on their lights. At twilight it
is amazing how much farther away you can see a car with headlights on, even
though most people feel that it isn't dark enough to need lights. Perhaps
this is something that is less important when you spend most of your time
driving on divided highways, but when you live in a place where the nearest
divided highway is 1000 miles away it is nice to see oncoming traffic before
it gets to you.

Of course the question would be why would you want to disable DRL? Are you
afraid that you battery isn't going to last as long or worried about burning
out your headlights? I haven't had problems with either on the DRL equipped
vehicles I've owned over the last 14 years. Whether you like or dislike DRL
I have yet to hear a practical reason why you would want to disable it.

Just out of curiosity, why would anyone want to add DRL to their vehicle?
If you really want the headlights on, just do it manually. I dunno, maybe
I'm weird, but I'm prefectly content NOT having DRL. Besides, if I did have
it, I'd probably disable it.
