I suppose my absurdist sense of humor doesn't really come through very
well. The world is too absurd to take seriously.

Since you're obviously a great expert on being a non-moron as opposed to a
moron, why don't you enlighten us with how the world actually works? Do
you have any real information to contribute? If you think I'm wrong, are
you willing to point out what you think the correct information is?

There are people who are forced to wear ties against their will by their
corporate masters. Those are the ones I was trying to avoid offending.
See where it says "anyone who has to wear a tie"? The operative words
being "has to"? Not "anyone who chooses to wear a tie, and forces their
underlings to wear ties, because they think it makes them look more
intimidating".

The part about blood circulation was a joke, guess I forgot to put the
smileys on it. Here are a few to make up for it:

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I've had to wear ties in the past, and I always felt profoundly
unfomfortable. Like I was wearing a noose, or a leash or something.
Basically, it's not in my character to wear ties, and I resent it when I'm
required to do so in order to conform to someone else's standards.

If you wear ties and like them, then that's great for you. I'm not trying
to tell you that you shouldn't do so. However, it still doesn't change my
general policy that I try not to trust anyone in a tie until I have reason
to think otherwise. Notice, that I don't really trust ANYONE I don't know
yet, so it's not like I think tie-wearing people are the Spawn of Satan or
anything. Just that I ask for things IN WRITING rather than being
satisfied with verbal agreements, and I take any and all promises with a
large bag of salt.
