I had a 72 Polara Police Interceptor with a 400 and ThermoQuad. Ray is
right, they are sweet when set up right. That old T&C may be geared so high
no matter what you do you won't be able to tune out a little bog, but it
shouldn't nose over like it was shut off. As Ray said, bump the timing and
adjust the doors on the secondaries to come in a bit smoother.
IIRC I think there is lots of ThermoQuad tuning info on the Net.
That old Polara would haze the tires from a 10 mph punch with absolutely no
bog-and what a sweet sound from under the hood!
Get that thing set right and it will be much better off the line.
PS-be careful you don't get too much fuel from the accellerator pump, it
will act like a secondary bog, but actually be a bog from too much fuel.
Good luck and have fun!
