so I found my first setback du jour
one of the caliper key bolt holes has a tap broken off in it.
it's about an inch long, quite rusted, in a cast caliper bracket. d'oh!
I also broke one of the locking hubs, so the left side is locked 'till
I replace the actuator. not surprising, and I'd planned on swapping
Warns in soon anyway, so that doesn't count as a setback.
aside from that "little" problem, the front axle is completely
reassembled and ready to be bracketized.
I'm going to let that tap soak in PB for quite a while, have some
lunch, and stare at my $600 worth of steel (that still hurts. I think
I need some ointment.)
