That's probably the issue right there. If you installed aftermarket roller
rockers, you should have adjusted them following their own instructions, NOT
what's in your service manual. The procedure listed in the service manual
is for stock parts.

To me, the statement "Move the engine to TDC and torque to specifications
(21 ft-lbs)" would mean to do it for each cylinder, not just the #1.

Anyway, pull the valve covers and loosen your rockers, then tighten them in
accordance to the *instructions that came with them* and see what you get.
