I've had a couple of my Dodges that had teh regulator in the PCM go out;
rather than replace the PCM's for the one little circuit; I just added one
of the old OEM Mopar VR's to the firewll and added in a section of harness
to connect it. I've had one of my Dodges wired like that since around
95-96,
