That's all well and good, but if his warranty expired at 36k miles and
he's at 37.5k miles and the dealer wants to "customer goodwill" him one
under warranty, perhaps the tow is worth it. As I found out firsthand
last winter, a heater core in our trucks can be anywhere from $500 -
$900 worth of work. I paid about $590 for mine because they discounted
my job 15% on parts and another 15% on labor. A friend in our local
dakota club had to pay out almost $1000 for his when he had it done.

Bottom line is: if he's out of warranty and they want to do it for free,
the tow is worth it for the savings in labor. Just my $.02
