Summit sells a 2.75" cat-back system, made by Dynomax I believe,
that might be a good balance between size and install complexity.
(i.e. its not as big as a 3" system, but doesn't require any custom
bending of pipes or an exhaust shop to install.) It is really
inexpensive, decent quality and easy to install. Jason Bleazard
and myself put one on his '95 V6 4x4 a couple of years ago.

Another note regarding the size, (correct me if I am wrong) but
I think Mike's experience might be with a pre-mag V6, as opposed
to a Magnum V6. Considering that the Magnum V6 makes the same
power as a pre-mag V8, it is possible that the Magnum V6 would
respond better to a 3" exhaust than the pre-mag version. ? (Not
sure - just thinking out loud here...) :-)
